7:43 am - I got my body and my mind on the same page
Wow this past week has been absolutely amazing.

Thanksgiving was fucking great, headed up to phoenix to see the rents with Mel. She met mine and I got to meet hers. I didnt get to see any of my old buddies but i guess ill be able to find time for that on another trip. But great food and overall just a relaxing weekend.

Pretty much since we got back ive been staying at mels place. I spend my days typing my 20 page poli sci paper and i end up crashing here and its been wonderfull.

I had to go to court twice yesterday and one of my motions recieved a continuance to this morning. Hopefully ill have everything situated. But I do get to strut around downtown in my suit and damn i look good. ANyways Im off, and thats it

1:03 pm - lost in the sky rafters
school is more or less whooping my ass and playing catchup is never fun. But all I can do is rock out and that's okay. Speaking of rocking out were playing 7 black cats on friday and then at the Jewish Community Center on saturday. I dont know what that will be like but I hope they give out free circumcisions with admission price.
I could always use another one. blah

Im killin 2 hours before my last class so this might tend to ramble a bit but I dont care cause this is for me and not you....

i actually dont have much to say so im going to leave.

oh one last thing..

fuck you

2:48 pm - Up and Down
I produced my first show last night and it fucking went great. Hosting touring indie bands Up Up Down Down and Birds of India with three local bands including us not only did i make my rent money back but i made enough to pay the touring bands a combined $100.

Lots of people showed up (i thought there would be like 12) and everybody stayed and had a great fucking time. I was very pleased. The touringbands then came back and we drank and hung out till 3 in the morning. I wish all the guys the best of luck and I cant wait to fucking put on another show.

2:27 pm - Giving into Sin
SO yeah, Sin Machine put on a fucking amazing show last night, im so glad they beat all those other shitty bands...yes that includes us. That had to be one (if not THE) wors set as our current lineup. Horrid showing. I again refuse to put blame on anything than us as a whole. Bt its over and i dont want to talk about it aymore. Its time to look forward to our show on monday. But I wish the SIn Machine guys (who are the nicest guys in the whole world, no matter how many staples the put in their chest)the best of luck in the rest of the competition.

I need a cigerette.

2:04 pm - weekend in review
So holloween was alright. I of course got all dudded up at robert smith from the cure. I have finally figured out how not cultured people are. Even with a t-shirt that blatently says "Boys dont cry" almost nobody could figure out who i was. Itsnice to see other peoples lives are more worthless than my own. THis entire weekend ive been at the beck and call of my 40's of mickeys comming up for sobriety once in a while.

Sopping for jeans is the worst experiance ever. THere are so many kinds, all I want is fucking regular pair of fucking jeans that shouldnt cost my entire paycheck. Even at buffalo exchange the jeans almost all flair at the end. FUckign A and my Adidas Sombas that iwant to buy are like 50 bucks now.

fuckin A..thats all ihave to say.

1:09 pm - waxing philo
Okay, so aesthetic beauty that we find in art is either objective or subjective, objective being that the beauty is a true or false quality inherant in the work itself and subjective being that it can depend on the person.

If aeshetic beauty is Objective it is inherant in the work. The work (for this case a painting) is physically comprised of differant paints and a blank canvas. Nobody would consider the blank canvas to have aesthetic beauty in itself and the same goes for individual paints. So the beauty is then inherant at what the paints and canvas make, WHICH, is an idea.

SO aesthetic beauty is then inherant in the idea that it comprises. Ideas are mind dependant.

ERGO: Aesthetic beauty must be subjective & beauty cannot be known a priori.

I still have to submit this to my professor, but i know that some who read this are philosophy bound such as myself so Im asking for critique first in case i have th epotential of looking like an ass.

10:45 am - That THIS Back
So last night I went to my normal monday routine of going to club congress for 80's night. Im on the dance floor and i turn around and see a familiar face. I swear this guy is the short ss mexican guitar player for Taking Back Sunday. It makes sense cause EVERYBODY i tucson looks like the short stocky mexican guitar player fro Taking Back Sunday. I continue to dance when i look out a window to see the rialto theatre say that that days show was Saves The Day (the opening act of course was TBS) So I went and talked to them cause my friend Mander started freaking out over how mush she loves them and we ended up grabbing a table with them for a while and drinking schlitz. Im guessing Saves the Day wasnt there cause heyre still 16 right.

4:47 pm - Silence
When I can think of nothing to say I picture you naked. Perverse? maybe; but when were so close and alone I know I could hurt you, just as I think when im in a silent room I could burst out and throw my chair through the nearest window. I never do though. Silence is so hard to break even if the only thing I have to do is make the slightest sound. The pressure of nothing ties and constricts until even breathing dissapears. And it will.

11:11 am - Fiddler in the house
So we played a great show last night. The national touring band was one named poulain (from the last name of the title charicter in the movie Amelie) Great fucking band from fiddler records. The guitar/keyboard player has been in bands like Rocking Horse Winner and Shai Halude recoded and produced with ANdy Lemaster from Saddlecreek. I suggest everybody check them out. Afterwards them and some friends accompanied us to "The Grill" for a jhonny cash coverband and great food. We then went back to the Northpoint. Poulain crashed here for the night, those guys are so fucking funny it was great havingt them as our guests and cant wait for them to return.

11:29 am - enter the dame...theres one in every story
okay so here i am in the deep regions of U of A's bombshelter computerroom completely underground under the UA mall. I am bored yet excited for the following reason:

1. we have a show tomorrow for Skrappys annual "Rent Fest"
2. the university of Oregon is playing Arizona down here on saturday, already have my oregon side tix (20 fucking bucks)and im excited to dawn my old UO baseball jersey. *pray i dont get stabbed*
3.Nutella is the worst shit EVER (this doesnt excite me the point just has to be made)

I havnt truely posted in this thing for a while which is wierd cause i just found out that this is the new "indie" thing to do. Maybe i can gain scenester points if i post more often. I was sitting outside last night talking to a buddy and I realized how much i miss "The Bros". I havnt seen them for the greater part of two years. I have an hour before fucking class maybe i should read. I actually like my aesthetics class. now im just rambling. remember to vote for the lucky nostalgia for the AIM listers choice awards at www.aimawards.com/vote.shtml .

12:34 pm - of all the gin joints in all the world
So this living without internet thing sucks. I come to school to check my emails and i have 110 of them. Sure you may think im popular but 109 of them are for porn or extending my penis size.

We played a battle of the bands this week @ The Rock. All the bands were very together and our buddies Assume the worst fucking rocked out while a new band to my repetoire aptly dubbed 5 a.m. put on a great show. Greatly to our surprise we won the preliminary round where Nico handed me $100 on stage and last night Tylor and I gave an interview on the radio. We got lots of great feedback after the show, we had some techinical difficulties and hadnt practiced in a week so were off at times so I was FURIOUS after our set but that all went away after a guy from the band Good Talk Russ taked me up for a long time then Nico announced us as the winners. ( i think that was a run on sentence but im not sure) anyways we are all really excited and cant wait to play again.

7:16 pm - The Nat Survey
1. If there was only one album you could listen to for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Sunny Day Real Estate - Diary...I've pondered this for HOURS and this ended up being the best choice. It is a great album in its entirety and has music for every mood that i can possibly have. So this is my all around favorite album.

2. Where is the one place you feel safest and most yourself? (This can be a physical place, an imagined state, whatever.)
Definately on stage. It is the one place that I am in complete control. ANything that happens up there is up to me and nobody can touch me up there. When in the zone its just me, the guitar, and my music of which i do almost all the writing. For those 30-40 minutes I control my own destiny, i sink into my surroundings, and the world dissapears. Its also a plus that everybodys eyes are on me watching my every move.

3. If you could go back in time and say one thing to one person in your past, who would it be and what would you say? (They can be living or dead, but you have to have known them.)
I would tell Nora that she was one of the most beautiful people I have had the pleasure to know. When youre really good friends you tend to keep those things to yourself especially since she was older than me by about 2 years. But ive laft and shes gone.

4. Put together your ideal woman from bits and pieces of celebrities...what does she look like?
I would take the head of wynona ryder, the torso of Charleze Theron, , the breasts of Tara Reed, the legs of Rebeca Romain Stamos (lucky ass uncle jessie) i guess ill take her arms too. She would be the build of a classy girl while having the look and attitude of an artist.

5. What is your all time favorite film moment and what does this reveal about who you are?
Being a classic film lover i expected my answer to come from an older movie mostly casablanca..My favorite movie of all time. My next thought was in the movie "Say ANything" When my man cussak holds the boombox over his head. But My all time favorite film moment was in another cussak film..Hihg FIdelity. My favorite part was when the new boyfriend "ian" comes into the record store and he imagines he and his friends beating the shit out of him including a rotary phone to the face bashing out Ians teeth and then finishing with the air conditioner crushing his skull. This of course shows my bitter sides but at the same shows that i have a great sense of humor and comedic side.
