the painting is comprised of paints and a canvas, boring on their own, but together create and subsequentally convey the artists feelings and ideas as a work of art. The work of art then is shown to individuals who usually do not know the artist, and are supposed to draw their own conclusions from the painting.
if the painter is good enough, he can create an obvious conclusion (the horrors of war or the beauty of spring) But the reaction is still completly up to the viewer.
There is some sort of asthetic reaction in all art, either repulsion or attraction I guess. Finding a piece of art beautiful would be objective reasoning by the individual, similarly, finding it horrible would also be objective reasoning.
